Today, an earthquake hit southern Iran. The magnitude of the seismic event amounted to 5.1, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center informs.

The epicenter was located 257 km southeast of the city of Shiraz at a depth of two kilometers.

There are no reports of casualties or damage.
