The Beijing Subway said in a message on WeChat on Wednesday that it will close 44 stations from today “until further notice” as part of the measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 amid the latest outbreak in the Chinese capital, APA reports citing Teletrader.
The Beijing Subway added that only entrances and exits will be closed, while passengers will be able to transfer within the stations.
The Chinese capital also announced the closure of 158 bus stops in the city. The moves come after Beijing registered 51 new coronavirus cases.
