European Union’s Eastern Partnership Ministerial Meeting to be held on December 12

European Union’s Eastern Partnership (EaP) Ministerial Meeting will be held, APA reports.

The meeting is scheduled for December 12, in Brussels.

The meeting to be chaired by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Joseph Borrel will be attended by the foreign ministers of 5 countries (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine) out of 6 member countries of Eastern Partnership, the counterparts from the EU countries.

European Union Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi will also participate in the meeting. The meeting will also be attended by the European Parliamentary Assembly, the European Committee of the Regions/CORLEAP, the European Economic and Social Committee, the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum, as well as the European Investment Bank, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The meeting will discuss the future of the Eastern Partnership, as well as security challenges and the consequences of the invasion war conducted by Russia to Ukraine for the entire region. The participants of the EU Eastern Partnership will exchange views on how Eastern partnership can contribute to stability and strengthening of prosperity in the region.
