Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in a statement late Monday that he will meet with his U.S. counterpart Antony Blinken on Thursday, APA‘s Moscow correspondent reports.
The meeting in which Ukraine tensions will top the agenda will take place in Switzerland’s Geneva, according to Lavrov.
On Sunday, Blinken said that everything that has been happening on the ground in Ukraine, including Russia’s announcement of the extension of its military exercises near the border, suggests that “Moscow is on the brink of invading Ukraine.”
