Foreign ministers of Iran, India and Armenia held the first trilateral meeting in Yerevan

The foreign ministries of the Republic of Armenia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the Republic of India held their first trilateral political meetings on April 20 in Yerevan.

The delegations were led by J P Singh, the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, Seyed Rasoul Mousavi, the Assistant of the Foreign Minister of Iran, and Mnatsakan Safaryan, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, according to a press release from the foreign ministry. Seyed Rasoul Mousavi is also the head of Iran’s regional general department for South Asia.

The parties specifically discussed economic issues and regional communication channels during the conference. They also discussed the potential for expanding cultural and people-to-people relations as well as trilateral collaboration in a variety of disciplines.
