Iran and Nigeria inked MoU on energy cooperation

Nigeria’s Minister of State for Petroleum Resources Timipre Silva met with Iran’s Oil Minister Javad Owji on Saturday in Tehran to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation on energy.

In the beginning of the meeting, Owji expressed condolences over the death of OPEC’s Nigerian Secretary-General Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo, praising his lasting services .

Owji also expressed hope that Iran and Nigeria would strengthen their cooperation on energy with the MoU to be signed later today, considering their membership in OPEC and GECF.
