Israel and Cyprus agree to create energy corridor from the Eastern Mediterranean to Europe

Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos said that Cyprus and Israel had agreed to promote the creation of an energy corridor from the Eastern Mediterranean to Europe. The corresponding statement was made after a meeting with his Israeli counterpart Eli Cohen.

“We have agreed to promote the possibilities and prospects of a reliable energy corridor from the Eastern Mediterranean basin to Europe”,

 

he commented on the negotiations’ results.

The EuroAsia Interconnector project was also discussed at the meeting.
