Israel launched missile attack on Damascus

by Sputnik News

Israel has launched two missiles towards a Damascus suburb from the direction of occupied Golan Heights, with one of them hitting a building, the state TV broadcaster SANA reported early on Wednesday.
“One of the hostile missiles was shot down, and no losses were caused,” Sana reported.
There were no reports of fatalities, the damaged building was said to be empty.
The most recent Israeli attack from the Golan occurred on 3 November, causing material damage in the outskirts of Damascus, according to SANA.
Infrastructure was slightly damaged, and two Syrian military personnel were injured in an attack by four Israeli F-16 fighter jets on October 30, the Russian military confirmed. The bombing was reportedly carried out from Israeli territory near the Golan Heights without violating Syrian air space.
Israel initially captured the Golan Heights in a 1967 war and annexed it in 1981. However, the United Nations Security Council considers the Golan as part of Syria.
