IRGC Navy Commander: Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei stated that Persian Gulf islands to be inhabited.
Revolutionary Guards Brigadier General Alireza Tangsiri, commander of the IRGC’s navy, said Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had ordered the Persian Gulf islands to be inhabited.
According to the IRGC-affiliated Fars News Agency, Brigadier General Tangsiri said, “We intend to get the islands of the Persian Gulf ready by building up all necessary infrastructures for the people to live in”.
“When the Supreme Leader says we have to make the island inhabitable, this means that we want to make the region secure,” the IRGC commander added.
