France is targeting to build 50 offshore wind farms by 2050, President Emmanuel Macron said, Report informs, citing TASS.
According to him, France needs to develop renewable energy projects at a faster pace.
The offshore wind farms will be developed to reach 40 GW by building 50 wind farms.
“We must have a very clear strategy for each type of renewable energy. First of all, solar energy, because such stations are cheaper and better adapted to the landscape,” said Macron.
