US President Joe Biden informed his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky about a new package of US military aid for Ukraine worth $1 billion, according to Biden’s statement, published by the White House Wednesday.
He noted that he discussed the Russian military operation in Ukraine with Zelensky. According to the statement, Biden “reaffirmed his commitment” that the US “will stand by Ukraine as it defends its democracy and support its sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
“I informed President Zelenskyy that the United States is providing another $1 billion in security assistance for Ukraine,” Biden said.
