Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron on February 6.

Emmanuel Macron and Nikol Pashinyan discussed the protests of Azerbaijani eco-activists on the Lachin road.

The interlocutors exchanged ideas on the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the activities of the EU civilian mission in Armenia.

Earlier Vestnik Kavkaza reported that late last year Paris had changed its position on the Lachin road. According to the Armenian media sources, Macron explained to Pashinyan that France would not be able to act as a security guarantor for Armenia. Therefore, the French leader advised his Armenian counterpart not to leave the CSTO.
