Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that hypersonic cruise missiles dubbed Zircon will enter official use in 2022, APA reports citing Teletrader.
Putin addressed the press after a meeting with the country’s defense officials, adding that the testing of the projectile is now in its final stages.
Putin praised the development of Russia’s military arsenal, calling the missile “a breakthrough,” and asserting that similar weaponry is crucial for ensuring a “high level of security” in Russia.
