by APA

United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson met with the leaders of the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia on Wednesday in an effort to secure more oil as the West faces high prices of energy amid the Russia-Ukraine conflict, APA reports citing Teletrader.

The leaders discussed their concerns of global security, as well as shortages of energy across the world. “The Prime Minister set out his deep concerns about the chaos unleashed by Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine, and stressed the importance of working together to improve stability in the global energy market,” said Downing Street.

Johnson is seeking solutions to reduce dependency on Russian exports as the West imposes more sanctions on Russian products and markets in response to the conflict in Ukraine.
