In January, Russian gas will cost Moldova more than in December, Head of Moldovagaz Vadim Cheban told RIA Novosti, Report informs.
“The purchase price of gas in January rose to $647 per 1,000 cubic meters,” he said.
At the same time, in December, fuel for Chisinau cost $550 per 1,000 cubic meters.
As a result, the National Energy Regulatory Agency may have to reconsider the tariff for consumers. In November, it increased from $245 to $586 per 1,000 cubic meters, and from January 1, it lost three dollars.
Recently, Moldovan President Maia Sandu has urgently convened the Supreme Security Council to discuss a possible energy crisis. The Security Council recommended that the government take measures to ensure uninterrupted gas supply to consumers.
