Quadripartite declaration signed between Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Turkey

Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Turkey signed a quadripartite declaration “On the Trans-Caspian East-West Corridor”. This was reported in the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.

The document is aimed at strengthening the four countries’ integration potential in the international transport system.

The declaration speaks about the role of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line in promoting competitive transportation between Europe and Asia and notes the importance of completing construction works to increase the capacity of the line.

In addition to this, it draws attention to the fact that infrastructure investments are needed to improve the quality of transport operations along the route, Trend reports.
