First Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the United Nations (UN), Dmitry Polyansky, stated on Monday that his country has requested the UN Security Council (UNSC) to hold an emergency meeting on the situation at the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) on Tuesday, APA reports citing Teletrader.
Writing on his account on Telegram, Polyansky said that Russia has also requested that Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, who visited Ukraine earlier this month, speaks at the session. He added that the meeting should focus on what he described as Ukraine’s provocations against the ZNPP, which “threat international peace and security.”
