APA – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has arrived in Baku today, APA reports citing TASS.
According to the report, the Russian minister will meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev tonight. On the last day of the visit, May 11, Lavrov will meet with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharov said that bilateral and regional cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan, as well as interaction in the international arena will be discussed during the visit. “During the talks, the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia on November 9, 2020. Priority will also be given to the practical aspects of the implementation of the statements on Nagorno-Karabakh and January 11, 2021.”
