Iraqi National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji met the delegation led by NSC Coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa, Brett McGurk, BBC Persian reports.
The statement of the media office of the National Security Adviser stated that the regional issues, including security and cooperation to create a more stable atmosphere in the region were discussed.
Two sides also discussed the bilateral ties, upcoming visit of the Iraqi delegation to Washington and withdrawal of foreign forces from Iraq.
Brett McGurk had also met with Iraqi President Barham Saleh and Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Kazemi.
