President Vladimir Putin approved national security strategy, RIA reports.
Among the national interests and strategic priorities are the following:
- Protecting population, developing human potential and improving the quality of life and well-being of citizens;
- Protection of the constitutional order, sovereignty, independence, state and territorial integrity;
- Development of a safe information space, protecting Russian society from destructive information and psychological impact;
- Sustainable development of the economy,
- Environmental protection;
- Strengthening of traditional Russian spiritual and moral values, preservation of cultural and historical heritage;
- Maintaining strategic stability, strengthening peace and security, and the legal foundations of international relations.
The document comes into force from the date of signing.
