Iran and IAEA consider reviving JCPOA on nuclear program

IAEA and Iran are ready to conclude an agreement aimed at reviving a joint comprehensive plan of actions on the Iranian nuclear program. Iran will allow the agency’s specialists to carry out activities to check and monitor nuclear facilities.

The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossy stated that the agency and Iran intend to conclude agreements that will contribute to the revival of a joint comprehensive action plan JCPOA) under the Iranian nuclear program.

According to Grossy, the agency and Iran are ready to continue the serious, systematic and productive dialogue. He added that the restoration of close cooperation will help to avoid leaks of confidential information coming from Tehran to the IAEA specialists.

The head of the agency also emphasized that the dialogue with Tehran is currently positive.
