The Hürjet, Turkey’s first jet-powered training and light attack aircraft, completed its first flight on Sunday without incident.
The Hürjet, created by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), fired up its engine for the first time in February.
The Hürjet is anticipated to play a crucial part in the Air Forces Command’s inventory, using its superior performance qualities. It has a single engine, tandem cockpit, and modern avionics suite.
By the end of 2025, the project hopes to have designed, manufactured, and finished all qualification and certification processes for the new generation jet trainer.
