Turkey supports a free, fair and credible environment for the elections that will be held in Libya, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said Thursday.
Çavuşoğlu met with Libyan Foreign Minister Najla Mangoush in the capital Ankara.
In his post on his Twitter account, Çavuşoğlu said: “Discussed our bilateral relations and the issues on our agenda with our first guest today, Foreign Minister Najla Mangoush of Libya.”
“Elections should be held in a free, fair and credible manner,” he said adding that Turkey will continue to contribute to the stability and prosperity of Libya.
Mangoush paid an official visit to Turkey on Thursday. She attended several meetings with Turkish officials and discussed bilateral relations and current developments in Libya.
