The British government has pledged another 1.2 billion in military assistance to Ukraine, said the Downing Street late on Wednesday, APA reports citing Teletrader.
“UK weapons, equipment and training are transforming Ukraine’s defenses against this onslaught,” Prime Minister Boris Johnson was quoted as saying.
“And we will continue to stand squarely behind the Ukrainian people to ensure Putin fails in Ukraine.”
The new funding brings Britain’s total backing of Kiev to £1.2 billion, an increase of nearly 80% on the sum provided initially.
