The US forces carried out an operation after midnight in Syria’s Idlib province.

Civil Defense teams in Syria reported that 13 people, including six children and four women, were killed in the raid.

Local security sources said that the US soldiers pulled one person from the house alive and took him away with them.

US President Joe Biden claimed in a statement on Thursday, that the raid targeted Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi, the Daesh (ISIS of ISIL) leader who was killed during the operation.

Biden further confirmed that al-Qurayshi blew himself up during the special forces operation.
