Russian vessels are not allowed to sail in the Ukrainian rivers as of January 1, 2022

From today, Russian vessels cannot sail on the Ukrainian rivers. The corresponding law was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on December 3, 2020.

According to the law, vessels flying the Russian flag are not allowed to transport passengers and cargo along the Ukrainian rivers during international voyages between river ports. The same applies for coastal cargo hauls.

Russians also prohibited to register vessels in the Shipping Register of Ukraine.
