Voting in referendums on joining Russia started on Friday in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, as well as in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. The process will continue until next Tuesday, September 27.
The first day of voting in these areas and at the voting stations set up in Russia went without a hitch, despite the ongoing hostilities. TASS compiled the main events of the first day of the referendums.
