Taliban has released 145 Afghan special forces soldiers in Herat

The Taliban has released 145 Afghan special forces soldiers detained in the western Afghan province of Herat, Report informs, citing Al Jazeera.

According to Tolo News, family members of several former government officials on Thursday said their relatives have disappeared or are being held by the Taliban since the arrival of the Taliban on Sunday.

Abdul Wali Wahidzai, the former governor of Laghman, and Lotfullah Kamram, the former police chief of the province, surrendered to the Taliban five days ago, but they are still in Taliban custody.

Mohammad Hashem Ghalji, the former police chief of PD1 of Ghazni, is also missing.
