United States and South Korea held joint military exercises in international waters off Okinawa

South Korea and the United States have successfully conducted combined military exercises in international waters off Okinawa, the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) announced on Saturday, APA reports citing Teletrader.

The planned joint army drills, which lasted three days, through Saturday, have been organized in order to prepare for any potential actions by Pyongyang.

“Through the combined strike group exercise, South Korea and the United States have solidified the determination to respond to any provocations by North Korea sternly,” the JCS stated.
