Commander of Iran’s Army Air Force arrived to Pakistan for an official visit

Commander of Iran’s Army Air Force Brigadier General Hamid Vahedi arrived in Islamabad on Sunday for an official visit at the invitation of his Pakistani counterpart.

Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan Mohammad Ali Hosseini, Iranian Defense Attaché Colonel Mosatafa Qanbarpour and Pakistan Air Force officials received the Iranian delegation led by Brigadier General Vahedi at Nur-Khan Airbase in Islamabad.

The commander of Iran’s Army Air Force is scheduled to meet with Pakistan Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar at Pakistan Air Force headquarters in Islamabad tomorrow.

He will also visit some of the Air Force facilities during his trip to Pakistan.

It is worth mentioning that the bilateral relations between Iran and Pakistan in the fields of defense, military and security, including the exchange of delegations from the armed forces of the two countries, have significantly improved in recent years.

On the 20th of October last year, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, paid a four-day official visit to Pakistan at the invitation of Pakistan Army Chief.

Pakistan Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, paid two official visits to the Islamic Republic of Iran in recent years and met with Iran’s political and military officials.
