Putin Signed a Decree on the Suspension of the Implementation of the INF Treaty
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree suspending the participation of the Russian side in the Treaty on Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles (INF). The related document was published by the press service of the Kremlin.
The text of the decree refers to the “need to take immediate action in connection with the violation” of the US obligations under the agreement. “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation should send a notification to the States parties to the Treaty, referred to in paragraph 1 of this Decree, to suspend its implementation,” the document says.
