On February 20, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a meeting on the implementation of investment projects in the power industry and further development of the industry.
The power industry is one of the important sectors that ensure economic development and quality of life. The presence of a number of shortcomings in this area hindered the effective implementation of reforms and innovative development of the country.
The 2019 Investment Program includes $8.1 billion worth 33 projects related to electricity. Almost $620 million set to be channelled this year to implement 7 major projects.
The President gave instructions on the qualitative implementation of these investment projects and the elimination of existing shortcomings.
