IRNA – An Iranian parliamentary delegation is in Syria to monitor the process of elections.
The delegation consists of Zohre Elahian, member of the national security commission and Fateme Maghsoudi, member of the internal affairs and councils commission of the Iranian Parliament.
Speaking to IRNA, Elahian said that parliamentary delegations from other countries were also invited to Syria.
She referred to strong parliamentary relations between Iran and Syria, saying Iranian parliament has always supported Syrian nation and has preserved its relations with Syrian parliament.
She said that the Iranian delegation is to hold meetings with Iran-Syria parliamentary friendship group.
She noted that the security in Syrian is the result of Resistance Axis, Defenders of Holy Shrine and Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani’s bravery.
Meanwhile, Maghsoudi said that Iran is seeking for democracy and independence of other countries and respects their territorial integrity.
