Kazakhstan introduces a temporary ban on the export of coal

The authorities of Kazakhstan introduced a temporary ban on the export of coal by auto transport in connection with the resale of coal intended for the needs of the population abroad.

“The Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan adopted Order No. 514 dated September 14, 2022, on restricting coal export from the country by road. A temporary ban is introduced in connection with the discovery of facts of the solid fuel export intended for the population, and communal and social facilities from the border regions of Kazakhstan to neighbouring countries for resale.
