President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on Ukraine’s attempt to become a NATO member. Kyiv has already been made clear that the policy of “open doors” does not apply to Ukraine, he said.
Report informs, citing UNIAN that he said this during his online speech to the Joint Expeditionary Force in London.
“It is clear that Ukraine is not a NATO member, we understand this, we are sensible people. For years, we have heard about open doors, but now we have also heard that we cannot enter there, and we must admit it. I am glad that our people are starting to understand it and count on themselves and on our partners who are helping us,” the president said.
He once again called for a no-fly zone over the territory of Ukraine, but also noted that the likelihood of a positive outcome is low.
